Co-education is a system of education that makes students understand each other properly and interaction between both genders turns them into broad-minded people. Co-education helps students to eradicate many myths among them which widens the gap between both genders. This co-education eradicates the difference between students on the basis of caste, creed, color, and gender. Letting the child study with different genders makes him or her efficient enough to understand the cultures, thinking, and mindsets of other genders and in this way, students pay respect to everyone and receive respect from others too. Co-education inculcates the feeling of equality among the students in the school. Because our society has some baseless discrimination in the name of caste, creed, color, and gender which has diminished the feeling of equality and has destroyed harmony. By inducing co-education this feeling of equality can be propagated properly and society can be purified of the curse of discrimination. With the help of co-education students can be taught the value of cooperation. Co-operation is a boon to the society through which people can understand the meaning of togetherness and students need to understand the value of this feeling at this tender age so that in every phase of their life they gain the trust of people around them and they can have co-operation and help of their family friends and even those people who are unacquainted with them. Apart from co-education, there are different models that describe the learning style of the students among which four types of models are quite popular and describe the learning style of the students commonly. These models are based on the behavioral trait of the students because each and every student contains a different type of behavioral trait which influences the learning style of the students.
Basic Learning Styles
- The first learning style is visual learning. It is so because it is human nature that they believe in those facts the most which they can see visually and can approve of its Such types of visual learners in a classroom like to see and learn from them practically. Such learners use pictorial methods and written diagrams to attain data and information. Teachers also recognize this method of teaching as the most effective one because children learn those things faster which they can see in front of and can make imaginary pics about. This is somewhat enjoying the learning with the help of their own fantasy.
- The second learning style is called auditory learning. As the name suggests auditory learning is based upon listening, related to listening and relating information to the sound. This type of learning is mostly used by those students who give preference to listening to a lecture; either live or recorded instead of writing notes and reading books for hours. Auditory learners are mostly those who speak loud in class and love to speak and learn. These types of learners want to hear others’ thoughts and feelings when they are in the process of learning.
- The third type of learning is Reading/writing learning. This type of learning often matches with visual learning because reading/writing learners usually learn using written words. So, it does seem like visual learning but visual learning is core based on seeing and reading/writing learners-based learning goes through reading and writing only. These learners can be found a little old-school type and gather a lot of knowledge just by reading books, journals, and research papers. Such learners believe in written notes a lot and to prepare such notes they keep on researching through books continuously and pinpointing notes also. They mostly look for research papers and assignments in written form as a task.
- Last but not the least, the fourth type of learning is Kinesthetics or tactile learning in which the learner learns by practical experience. In this type of learning mostly hands and bodies are used, often while acting out the events and using their hands to elucidate during the conversation. Most of the time athletes and dancers come under this category because they learn in these two professions with the help of their bodies and their postures.
